Magul's second album is out

Today marks the release of the second album by alternative rock band Magul titled "Magul 2". The album is available through our Bandcamp page, digital platforms as well as our webshop.

Magul was formed in the fall of 2015. in Šibenik, Croatia by Ante Prgin (guitar, voice), Božidar Bilušić (bass guitar), and Rino Miorin (drums). In this formation, they played for about two years, and in that period their first album came out, in their own production and without an official release. In 2017, drummer Rino left the band, and the remaining duo turned to a more modern sound. Imagine David Bowie meets Arctic Monkeys. In the creation of the second album titled "Magul 2", the band created and rehearsed music in a studio environment that played an important role and greatly influenced the sound of the new material. The songs seem to evoke the spirit of David Bowie through the prism of the Arctic Monkeys. The distinctive sound of Rino's drums has been replaced by electronic, bass sections are aided by synthesized duplicates, and the guitar, fully recorded using virtual amplifier simulations, has replaced the distortion from the first album with much softer sound enriched with numerous effects. String and brass additions to the arrangements are also of digital origin and complement the refreshed musical expression of the band by creating a range of sound ideas.
