We are announcing the release of a new album by the Šibenik alternative rock band Magul titled "Magul 2" and we are also presenting the first announcing single Rain Under Rainbow. The album will officially be released on May 7, 2021. and will be available through our Bandcamp profile as well as on all digital platforms. Magul is an alternative rock band from Šibenik, Croatia. It was formed in the fall of 2015. by Ante Prgin (guitar, voice), Božidar Bilušić (bass guitar), and Rino Miorin (drums). In this formation, they played for about two years, and in that period their first album came out, in their own production and without an official release. In 2017, drummer Rino left the band, and the remaining duo turned to a more modern sound.
Magul
The fact that the band created and rehearsed music in the studio from the very beginning also played an important role in the creation of the second album, which greatly influenced the sound of the new material; the songs developed quite quickly from the stage of ideas to the finished arrangements. The recognizable sound of Rino's drums was replaced by electronic, bass sections were supported by synthesized duplicates, and the guitar, fully recorded using virtual amplifier simulations, switched from the first album's distorted sound into a much softer sound enriched with numerous effects. The string and wind additions to the arrangements are also digitally originated and complement the refreshed musical expression of the band creating a range of sound ideas.
