Eight years of PDV Records

The independent label PDV Records started working on the symbolic date of November 1, 2013, ie the Day of the Dead, which essentially contains a kind of attitude, among other things, that in moments of dying discography, only true enthusiasts can deal with it without compromise. Especially when it comes to the independent sphere of publishing.

Over the last year, publishing activities have led us in various directions. We have published a total of 11 titles. There is a place for synth-wave/sax jazz sounds of the project l'after life by coco mosquito by Gordan Muratović, electronic exhibitions of Plazmatick, a new album by the cult UK ska/dub/punk band Inner Terrestrials, co-released with several independent European labels.

We have released a benefit compilation of electronic scene called "Healing Sounds", the second album of Šibenik alternative rockers Magul, the second full-length of the Mediterranean / world music ensemble Vladimir & Kalafat, the split release of two friendly HC/punk bands Bijes zdravog razuma and Nula. We also released the third album of the dub/hip-hop duo Kali Fat Dub and the inaugural single as an announcement of the first album of the Zagreb reggae/dancehall band One Dread.

Most of the titles have been released in physical form (LP / CD), while some have been published or (re)released exclusively in digital form, and a few more are in preparation for 2022.

We have also recently become exclusive distributors of Everland Music and Kontakt Audio labels specializing in reissuing cult underground titles of the 70s and 80s in a wide range of genres.

We also have weekly recommendations of the TOP 5 vinyl releases for the Sporky Disco, club, and pop culture video magazine.

We provide a unique alphabetical discount to all visitors of the PDV record store throughout November.

We participated in the charity campaign "Zajednica u centru – da imam gdje… živjeti", which aimed to raise funds for the establishment and equipping of two socio-cultural centers in Petrinja and Sisak.

We also supported a charity event for Petrinja held at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MSU).

We also presented the first part of the vinyl edition of the benefit compilation of the electronic scene "Healing Sounds" at this year's edition of the Dimensions festival.

We also ran the official merchandise tent at the Outlook and Dimensions festivals in Tisno.

Our pop-up store was present at the festival location Martinska in Šibenik this summer as well.

We have a residence in the Šibenik vinyl shop Butiga.

Slurp! festival celebrated 10 years with the benefit character and performers of the album "Healing Sounds".

We also participated in the summer edition of Longplay Day in Šibenik.

We were part of the 26th edition of the cultural event Sa(n)jam knjige u Istri.

The PDV Records team was at the venue with a stall during the five editions of the Online Concert held in collaboration with Radio 808 where we conducted a virtual presentation of the record label as well as the releases of the represented performers.

A virtual merch PDV Records stall was available during Remote, the first-ever augmented reality festival in the region.

We became distributors of the German label Sounds of Subterrania.

We also introduced Padni PDV - an insulating action of discounts for performers from our label, ie selected releases in the form of LP or CD packages from the sphere of dub/reggae, punk/ HC, electronic, jazz, and rock genres.
